Isabella Frenchies also have unique markings on their chest that are usually white or cream in color. Pet owners must also focus their attention on the skin protection of these dogs as they have sensitive skin as shown in the pink skin around their mouth, eyes, and nose.

This is one of the most desirable colors of French Bulldogs because of the choco hue of the coat. A Chocolate Frenchie is created when both of its parents are carriers of the gene called B allele (brown). The color varies from darker to lighter version depending on the recessive genes that it has inherited from its parents. The dog's eye color is a distinctive reddish/orange glow under the sunlight.

Lilac French Bulldogs have darker coats compared to other Frenchies, however, they have more delicate skin, hence their owner must pay special attention to their skin, particularly on their armpits and nose which are vulnerable to harmful ultraviolet radiation. These Frenchies' eyes are light-colored such as yellow and blue. When they grow older, the coat of these pets becomes lighter.
